Cabo Frio implements beach enforcement and jet ski registration

The city of Cabo Frio is increasing surveillance and enforcement measures on its beaches during the upcoming holiday period. Coordinated by the Secretariat of Security and Public Order, the Municipal Civil Guard and inspection teams will monitor beach activities, including checking vendor licenses, regulating sound usage, prohibiting glass bottles, and enforcing specific hours for ball sports.

Security efforts will also include patrolling for irregular camping, unauthorized vessels near the shore, and illegal parking attendants. The city plans to utilize drones, cameras, and facial recognition technology to monitor the coastline. Additionally, municipal cemeteries will be open from 8:00 to 17:00 to accommodate an expected 10,000 visitors.

Separately, the Municipal Secretariat of Tourism has opened a registration period for jet ski operators. Businesses and individuals providing nautical tours, rentals, or recreational water activities must apply by November 27. Each legal entity may register up to three watercraft, subject to documentary analysis and technical inspections to ensure compliance with municipal law.
