Cabo San Lucas Fire Department launches home safety inspections

The Cabo San Lucas Fire Department has launched the ‘Hogares Resilientes’ (Resilient Homes) program to enhance residential safety. Through this initiative, specialized personnel conduct scheduled inspections of electrical installations and LP gas systems in houses and apartments to identify potential hazards.

In light of the 2026 rainy and tropical cyclone season, the inspections also provide recommendations to reinforce installations against storm or hurricane damage. The program is available to individual citizens as well as residential developments, condominiums, and neighborhood groups. Residents can schedule inspections by contacting the department’s Inspection and Risk Assessment Area.
