Cabo San Lucas man detained in disappearance and death of content creator

A judge has ordered preventive detention for Ángel Daniel “N” in connection with the disappearance and death of Jesús Bertín “N”, a content creator in Cabo San Lucas.

According to the State Attorney General's Office (PGJE) of Baja California Sur, the incident occurred in the early hours of August 31, 2026, at a residence in the Tierra y Libertad neighborhood. Investigations indicate that the suspect allegedly deprived the victim of his liberty and inflicted various injuries to conceal his whereabouts.

The victim's body was discovered on September 2 near the El Mangle bridge on a path leading to the El Salto stream. Following intelligence work, authorities executed an arrest warrant against the suspect. During the initial hearing on September 15, a control judge linked the suspect to the process for the crime of disappearance committed by private individuals and granted a six-month period to complete the complementary investigation.
