Cabo Udra ornithological tour to promote biodiversity conservation

The Deputación de Pontevedra is opening registration on August 31 for a specialized ornithological tour at Cabo Udra in Bueu. Scheduled for September 13, the event is part of the “Voando nas Rías Baixas” program, organized in collaboration with SEO/BirdLife.

The initiative aims to raise awareness regarding the region's ecological richness and the protection of sensitive habitats. The area is a critical nesting site for the endangered Kentish plover (píllara das dunas). Participants will have the opportunity to observe various bird species, including migratory birds and local residents, as well as marine fauna from the cliffs overlooking the Red Natura 2000 network.
