Cabo Verde and China sign media cooperation agreement

Cabo Verde and China have signed a bilateral cooperation agreement to strengthen ties in the media sector. The agreement, signed in Beijing during the 7th China-Africa Forum, focuses on broadcasting and online audiovisual media.

The partnership facilitates the exchange of radio, television, and online content and programs between the two nations. It also includes provisions for professional training, capacity-building, and the sharing of expertise and best practices among media professionals.

Additionally, the agreement addresses technological innovation and the digital transformation of media outlets. This cooperation comes as Cabo Verde and China mark 50 years of diplomatic relations, with the Cape Verdean government identifying China as a strategic partner in various sectors.
