Cabo Verde caps World Cup prep with 3-0 win over Bermuda

Cabo Verde defeated Bermuda 3‑0 in their final friendly before the 2026 World Cup. The match was played at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in the United States. Willy Semedo opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, Garry Rodrigues added a second early in the second half, and Nuno da Costa sealed the victory in stoppage time.

The win gives the debutants confidence ahead of their Group H opening match against Spain on 15 June in Atlanta. Group H also includes Uruguay and Saudi Arabia. The clean sheet and multiple goals underline Cabo Verde’s preparation and morale as they head to their first World Cup tournament.
