Cabárceno Nature Park Launches Fifth Outdoor Painting Competition

The Parque de la Naturaleza de Cabárceno announced the fifth edition of its National Outdoor Painting Contest, scheduled for Saturday, 29 August. The competition offers a total prize fund of €5,300 and is open to painters from across Spain. Interested artists must pre‑register by Friday, 28 August at 14:00 through the park’s official website.

The Museo de la Naturaleza de Cantabria will host the event “Encuentros bajo el árbol” on Saturday, 8 January at 11:00 in Cabezón de la Sal. The programme, which complements the “Todo árbol tiene su raíz” exhibition, includes a discussion on tree photography, study of regional tree species based on the work of botanist Enrique Loriente Escallada, and a hands‑on session where participants photograph a selected local tree. The exhibition features photographs by Miriam Mora and Pablo López.
