Peach Halloumi Salad Leads Summer Recipe Collection Across the Balkans

A peach‑halloumi salad featuring roasted peaches, fried halloumi and pistachios has become a viral summer favourite on TikTok. The dish combines caramelised fruit with salty cheese and fresh herbs, and can be served as a light lunch or side.

Traditional Balkan summer dishes are also highlighted, including sataraš – a quick vegetable stew of tomatoes, peppers and onions popular in Serbia – and a 100‑year‑old homemade bread recipe that uses basic ingredients such as flour, yeast, butter and salt.

Other featured desserts range from a silky rice pudding (sutlijaš) enriched with vanilla pudding powder, to airy Polish‑style vanilla‑cream puffs filled with fruit compote, and a chocolate‑shell gelato collaboration between TAMAN Chocolates and KREMA Gelato offered at Burgeraj in Zagreb.

A vegetarian main course is presented as stuffed zucchini with mushrooms and brown rice, suitable for fasting or light meals. Together, these recipes showcase a variety of seasonal, easy‑to‑prepare foods trending across the region.
