Caccamo workers receive permanent contracts after 28 years
Eight workers in Caccamo have signed permanent employment contracts after 28 years of service. The employees, consisting of six operators and two instructors, had been working under renewable annual contracts since June 1998.
Mayor Franco Fiore stated that the stabilization was part of the 2026 hiring plan and was authorized by the Ministry of the Interior’s Commission for the Financial Stability of Local Authorities (COSFEL). Despite the municipality being in a state of financial distress, the mayor noted that the positions are fully funded by the Sicilian Region, ensuring no additional burden on municipal coffers.
