Cacereño prepares for regional derby against Mérida

Cacereño prepares to face Mérida in a regional derby at the Romano José Fouto stadium. This match marks the beginning of a season featuring multiple Extremaduran derbies in the Primera Federación, as Cacereño, Mérida, Coria, and Extremadura all compete in the same group.

Various supporter groups (peñas) are organizing travel for fans, with bus prices ranging from 10 to 15 euros. The match will also implement a recent agreement between the four regional clubs to facilitate away fan travel, guaranteeing a minimum of 2,000 tickets for visiting season ticket holders in stadiums with sufficient capacity.

Statistically, Cacereño has maintained a strong record in regional derbies since 2021, securing 14 wins, 10 draws, and only eight losses in 32 matches. Heading into this fixture, Cacereño holds fourth place with 11 points, while Mérida sits in seventeenth place with three points.
