Cachaça highlighted in Brazilian cultural and gastronomic events

Brazilian cachaça is being highlighted through various cultural and educational initiatives focused on its role as a national symbol and its potential for international integration.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, Senac MS hosted a workshop titled ‘Bioceanic Route of Flavors: Brazilian Cachaça in Dialogue with South America’ as part of the Mesa Ao Vivo event. The workshop explored how the spirit can foster gastronomic and cultural connections between Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, and Chile via the Bioceanic Route, emphasizing the product's role in regional identity and trade.

In Rio de Janeiro, Casa Firjan is hosting a free exhibition titled ‘O Brasil na Garrafa’ (Brazil in a Bottle), which runs until October 4. The showcase examines the history, industry, and cultural dimensions of cachaça. It is divided into sections covering gastronomy, literature, music, religious rituals, and the technical production processes in stills, while also highlighting the growing premium market and the role of women in the industry.
