The municipality of Cachoeira do Sul has joined a legal action led by the National Confederation of Municipalities (CNM) against the federal government. The lawsuit aims to review municipal social security debts and facilitate an 'Encontro de Contas' (Account Meeting) with the Union.

This initiative seeks to ensure the proper application of Federal Law No. 13,485/2017 regarding the regularization of municipal social security debts. The goal is to identify and correct any undue charges or withholdings, potentially allowing the municipality to recover or offset funds owed to it.
