CACI secures up to $500 million Pentagon contract for counter-drone systems

The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded CACI a contract worth up to $500 million to expand the deployment of its SkyValor counter-unmanned aerial system. The agreement supports procurements through the Pentagon's Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401), which manages daily counter-drone operations.

The contract includes the purchase of fixed-site CORIAN configurations and the Backpackable Electronic Attack Module (BEAM), a portable unit that combines radio frequency detection with electronic attack capabilities to disrupt hostile drones. The expansion follows successful operational evaluations at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, where the system reportedly detected and defeated multiple small drones beyond visual range.
