Cadbury Nigeria names Dr. Rasaq Salami as new chairman

Cadbury Nigeria Plc announced that Dr. Rasaq Adedoyin Salami will become the company's chairman, with the appointment taking effect on 3 August 2026. The change follows the resignation of former chairman Adedotun Sulaiman, who stepped down after six years in the role and 17 years on the board.

In the same filing, the board named Mrs. Uwa Osa‑Oboh as an Independent Non‑Executive Director. The regulatory notice was signed by Company Secretary Afolasade Olowe and submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

Dr. Salami, a noted economist and former chief economic adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, joins Cadbury Nigeria's board as an Independent Non‑Executive Director since March 2026. He also serves as CEO of KAINOS Edge Consulting Ltd and sits on several international advisory groups, including the IMF Advisory Group for Sub‑Saharan Africa.
