Caddo Parish Announces Auction of Surplus Trucks, Buses and Tractors

The Caddo Parish Commission is set to vote on an ordinance that will declare a list of parish‑owned vehicles and equipment as surplus. The inventory includes trucks, SUVs, dump trucks, tractors and several school buses. Under Louisiana law the ordinance, which becomes effective immediately upon adoption, authorises the Caddo Parish Administrator or a designee to arrange a public auction later this year. All items will be sold “as is” with no warranty, allowing the parish to remove unneeded assets and generate revenue.

The measure does not specify a fixed auction date; the parish can begin preparations as soon as the ordinance is approved.
