Caden Veltkamp named Manning Award Star of the Week

Florida Atlantic University quarterback Caden Veltkamp has been named a Manning Award Star of the Week following a standout performance against Navy. Veltkamp completed 27 of 32 passes for 386 yards and threw five touchdown passes, tying a school record, to lead the Owls to a 38-30 victory.

During the game, FAU established a significant lead, going up 31-7 by halftime. Navy attempted a second-half comeback led by backup quarterback Jackson Gutierrez, who threw his first career touchdown pass and recorded a 49-yard touchdown run. Despite Navy narrowing the gap to 38-30, Florida Atlantic secured the win at Flagler Credit Union Stadium.
