CADEX and Van Rysel introduce new high-performance MTB equipment

The mountain biking competitive landscape is seeing significant new equipment developments from CADEX and Van Rysel.

CADEX has officially launched the Max XC, its first complete wheelset designed specifically for cross-country (XC) mountain biking. Developed alongside the Giant Factory Off-Road Team, the wheels feature carbon spokes integrated directly into the hub flanges. The set weighs 1,248 grams including valves and tubeless tape, featuring 30 mm internal rim width and a 120-tooth ratchet rear hub. The product follows extensive testing by professional riders such as Alan Hatherly and Dario Lillo.

Simultaneously, Decathlon’s performance brand, Van Rysel, has entered the high-end MTB market with the RCR-XC. Developed through a dedicated technical structure in the French Alps, the bike utilizes telemetric data from World Cup circuits and Olympic testing. A notable technical feature of the RCR-XC is the adoption of a 32-inch wheel standard, intended to improve rolling capacity and dynamic performance. The carbon frame is engineered to match the weight of traditional 29-inch chassis while optimizing torsional rigidity and aerodynamics.
