CADFEM and PI Probaligence release guide on AI in product development
Engineers from the simulation specialist CADFEM and AI experts from PI Probaligence have collaborated on a new book titled ‘KI in der Produktentwicklung. Ein Guide für den effektiven Einsatz künstlicher Intelligenz’ (AI in Product Development. A Guide for the Effective Use of Artificial Intelligence), published by Vogel Verlag.
The book, spanning over 200 pages, provides a cross-industry overview of how artificial intelligence can be integrated into product development to create more efficient processes and improve existing products. It includes numerous best-practice examples and is designed to be accessible to both technical experts and beginners.
Alexander Seidel, head of AI at CADFEM and one of the authors, emphasizes that AI is already an integral part of modern product development. The authors argue that AI serves as a tool to solve complex problems with minimal resources rather than a replacement for human workers, noting that the final decision-making authority always remains with a human.
