Cadillac F1 makes strides yet stays in midfield ‘no man’s land’, Bottas says

Valtteri Bottas said Cadillac's Formula 1 programme is improving but remains trapped in a “no man’s land” of the midfield. After a difficult start to the season, the team finally saw both cars finish at Silverstone, giving the American outfit valuable data and a morale boost.

Bottas noted that while upgrades have brought the car closer to teams like Haas and Williams, the pace is still insufficient to challenge the established mid‑field. The team plans to bring further new components to the upcoming Belgian Grand Prix at Spa‑Francorchamps, hoping the circuit will highlight the car’s strengths and speed up development. In contrast, rivals such as Aston Martin are delaying their major upgrades until later in the season.
