Cadillac F1 Team Praises Bottas and Perez for Strong Debut Season

U.S.‑based Cadillac entered Formula 1 only a year ago and is still without points, but team principal Graeme Lowdon says the experience of drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez has been crucial. Lowdon told the press that he would make the same driver choices again, adding that both drivers have done a “spectacular job” in developing the new team.

Lowdon highlighted Bottas’s role in helping the rapid build‑up of the car and praised Perez’s performance in qualifying, noting that the duo provides the right balance of experience for a rookie outfit. Despite doubts about whether seasoned drivers were suitable for a fledgling squad, Cadillac’s progress – such as being within a tenth of a second of Q2 at Monaco and regularly out‑pacing Aston Martin – suggests the strategy is paying off.
