Cadillac F1 Team Shows Progress in First Half of Season

Cadillac's Formula 1 entry, now competing as the 11th team on the 2026 grid, has exceeded expectations in its debut half‑season, sitting 11th in the standings despite early reliability setbacks. The team’s basic MAC‑26 chassis has been steadily upgraded, delivering aerodynamic gains and occasional strong performances, though brake, cooling and suspension issues have still caused retirements for drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez.

The squad is owned by TWG Global, a multinational holding company founded in 2024 by CEO Mark Walter. Through its motorsports division, TWG Motorsports, the group holds stakes in Andretti Global, Spire Motorsports and other racing programs, and partnered with General Motors to launch the Cadillac F1 team. Dan Towriss serves as CEO of the motorsports unit, overseeing the team’s development and its ambition to become a power‑unit manufacturer by 2029.
