Cadillac F1 team still point‑less as Bottas says major performance leap needed

The Cadillac Formula 1 team has not yet scored a World Championship point in its debut season. Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas, speaking before the Hungarian Grand Prix, said that earning points will require either a significant performance upgrade or a stroke of luck.

Mexican driver Sergio Pérez echoed the optimism, noting progress but also recalling that the team’s sole point earned in Monaco was later stripped after a post‑race penalty, handing the point to Aston Martin. Both drivers highlighted that the gap to the leading teams has narrowed and that further improvements in lap time could allow the team to fight for points.
