Cadillac introduces Escalade IQ customization and recycled aluminum components

Cadillac is expanding its luxury offerings through two distinct initiatives involving its electric vehicle lineup. The brand has introduced ‘Curated by Cadillac’ for the Escalade IQ, a high-end customization service. For an additional fee of $54,995, clients can work with a dedicated design concierge to select from millions of combinations, including over 160 exterior colors and 44 interior color options. These bespoke vehicles will be hand-painted and crafted at the Artisan Center in Warren, Michigan, and are expected to be available for the 2027 model year in the United States and Canada.

In a separate move toward sustainability, General Motors’ Cadillac OPTIQ electric vehicle will utilize a front bumper system made from low-carbon, recycled aluminum. The component will use Hydro CIRCAL, an alloy composed of at least 75% post-consumer scrap metal produced at Hydro’s facility in Cassopolis, Michigan. The bumper system, engineered by Shape Corp., is designed to meet strict requirements for strength and energy absorption while maintaining a low carbon footprint.
