Cadillac loses first F1 point after Sergio Pérez penalty at Monaco

At the Monaco Grand Prix, Cadillac's debut season appeared to secure its first championship point when driver Sergio Pérez crossed the finish line in tenth place. The FIA stewards later ruled that Pérez had a false start on the race restart – his front‑right wheel was outside the grid box – and imposed a ten‑second penalty. The penalty dropped Pérez to 15th, removing the point and handing it to Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin. Team principal Graeme Lowdon called the performance "an incredible testament to the resolve of the team" despite the setback. Cadillac teammate Valtteri Bottas retired from the race due to recurring brake problems.
