Cadillac shifts F1 development focus to 2027 project

Cadillac has confirmed that a significant portion of its resources is being redirected toward the development of its 2027 Formula 1 car. This strategic shift follows public criticism from driver Sergio Perez, who expressed “great disappointment” regarding the team's lack of progress and development during its debut season.

Team director Marcin Budkowski addressed these concerns, noting that while the current development line for the MAC-26 is slowing down to prioritize the 2027 project, improvements for the 2026 season remain possible. Budkowski urged a realistic perspective on the challenges of a new team building from the ground up.
