Cadillac targets French market with new electric SUV lineup
Cadillac is attempting a comeback in the French market by shifting its strategy toward electric SUVs. Following several unsuccessful attempts to establish a presence in Europe during the late 1980s and 1990s, the General Motors-owned brand is introducing two new electric models: the Lyriq and the Optiq.
The Lyriq is a large SUV priced starting at €81,100, while the more compact Optiq will start at €61,000. Cadillac plans to expand this lineup in the future with the Lyriq V and the seven-seat Vistiq SUV. The brand aims to position these vehicles as modern, sporty, and innovative to compete against fierce European and Chinese competition.
