Cadillac targets German market with electric SUV pivot
Cadillac is attempting to re-establish its presence in the German market by shifting its brand image from traditional V8 engines and chrome aesthetics to electric SUVs. The company is focusing on new partnerships with local dealers to increase visibility and sales.
Despite the brand's historical recognition, registration numbers in Germany remain low. In 2025, there were 94 new Cadillac registrations, down from 175 the previous year, with only 26 models registered in the first five months of 2026. The brand is currently promoting luxury electric models, such as the Vistiq SUV, to appeal to modern consumers.
