Cadillac targets Red Bull Racing talent for F1 expansion

Cadillac is actively attempting to recruit key technical talent from Red Bull Racing to bolster its Formula 1 ambitions. The American manufacturer is reportedly targeting chief designer Craig Skinner, who played a significant role in designing the championship-winning cars for Max Verstappen in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

In addition to Skinner, Cadillac is in discussions with lead engineer Paul Monaghan. While Monaghan has not yet resolved his contract with Red Bull, he may face a potential twelve-month gardening leave period if he transitions to the new team.

These recruitment efforts follow a startup phase for Cadillac, which has recently gained access to a state-of-the-art F1 factory. The strategy appears focused on poaching high-level personnel from top-tier teams to ensure Cadillac competes for wins and titles rather than settling for a midfield position. Other teams, such as Alpine, have also shown interest in Skinner.
