Cadillac unveils V-ONE Concept based on racing architecture

Cadillac has unveiled the V-ONE Concept, a high-performance vehicle built on the LMDh racing architecture. The concept is designed to be a more refined, user-friendly version of the V-Series. R race car, sharing a carbon fiber monocoque chassis developed by Dallara and a 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine.

The V-ONE features a hybrid system producing approximately 830 horsepower. While it maintains an FIA-approved survival cell and racing-focused elements like GT3-style seats, it includes adjustments to make it easier to operate for private owners. The design goal is to achieve lap times within 10% of the V-Series. R while offering enhanced luxury and craftsmanship.

Cadillac is currently gauging consumer interest to determine if a limited production run for private customers is feasible. Sean O’Shea, propulsion manager for Cadillac’s LMDh program, noted that the company is monitoring interest levels, though any production would be carefully managed to ensure it does not interfere with the brand's existing racing programs.
