CADRA hosts International Arbitration Summer School 2026

The Central Asia Dispute Resolution Association (CADRA) launched its 2026 International Arbitration Summer School, an online program held from August 10 to 28. Supported by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), the initiative attracted approximately 1,300 applicants globally. The program featured opening sessions by legal experts Gary Born and Kristina Bittner of King & Spalding, covering topics such as the New York Convention, UNCITRAL Model Law, and cross-border practice.

In the field of international adjudication, legal analysis is increasingly focusing on systemic integration within Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS). This involves examining how Article 31(3)(c) of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties can address treaty fragmentation, particularly as investment tribunals encounter disputes involving environmental regulations, climate transition measures, and energy policy reforms.
