CAF Awards 2026 to be held in Lagos at Wole Soyinka Centre

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the 2026 CAF Awards ceremony will take place in Lagos, Nigeria, at the newly renovated Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts. The venue, formerly the National Arts Theatre, will host the awards alongside the 48th CAF Ordinary General Assembly scheduled for October. The ceremony, expected in December, will honour the continent’s top football talent, including the men’s Player of the Year award for which Victor Osimhen and reigning champion Ademola Lookman are among the leading contenders. Hosting the event marks a significant moment for Nigerian football, bringing the continent’s premier football honours back to the country for the first time since 2016.
