CAF Champions League: Power Dynamos and Zamalek prepare for opening fixtures

Several clubs are set to begin their CAF Champions League campaigns in the preliminary rounds.

Zambian champions Power Dynamos will face Al Merrikh this weekend. The team has arrived in Kigali to prepare for the match at Amahoro Stadium. Coach Osward Mutapa emphasized the importance of securing a positive away result. The squad features several new players, including Amine Hiver, Marvin Omondi Nabwire, and Nsoh Fabrice Ndeh. The tie will be decided over two legs, with the return fixture scheduled for September in Zambia.

In Egypt, Zamalek is scheduled to face Djibouti’s Al-Minaa on September 4. Due to Al-Minaa’s home stadium failing to meet CAF standards, both legs of the tie will be held at Cairo International Stadium. The matches will be broadcast by ON Sport, with digital viewing available via the ON SPORT application and Kora Plus website.
