CAF launches commercial rights tender for 2028, 2032 and 2036 Africa Cup of Nations
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has issued an international call for proposals to sell the commercial rights of the next three Africa Cup of Nations editions scheduled for 2028, 2032 and 2036. Interested firms have until 24 August to submit bids covering audiovisual broadcasting, sponsorship, marketing partnerships and other commercial assets.
CAF highlights the success of the 2025 tournament in Morocco, which attracted over 3.2 billion cumulative TV viewers and roughly 6 billion digital platform views, with commercial revenues almost doubling compared with earlier editions. The proceeds from the new rights agreements are earmarked to fund continental competitions, develop women’s and youth football, train football officials and improve sporting infrastructure across the continent.
