Google develops Noto 3D project to transform emojis into 3D models
Google's design team is developing Noto 3D, a project aimed at transforming traditional two-dimensional emojis into three-dimensional models to increase depth and expressiveness across nearly 4,000 symbols.
During the design process, the team shared a sequence of images showing a 3D version of the 'shocked' emoji being rotated. The sequence included a humorous detail showing a small backside on the back of the emoji's head. Google clarified that this anatomical detail was a joke created by the designers and is not a permanent or intended feature of the new emoji collection.
