Cafu promotes India-Brazil friendly match during India visit

Brazilian football legend Cafu is visiting India to promote an upcoming international friendly match between India and Brazil. The match is scheduled to take place on October 3, 2026, at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata, as organized by the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

During his visit, Cafu engaged in community activities, including visiting Pillai University in Navi Mumbai and meeting with the Dreaming in Slums Foundation. At the foundation, he played football with underprivileged girls aged six to 16, emphasizing that sport serves as a vital tool for social inclusion and should be paired with education to build better futures.

AIFF officials described the upcoming match against Brazil as a landmark event for Indian football and a rare opportunity for national players to test themselves against a premier footballing nation.
