Cagayan Vice Governor Manuel Mamba accepts 90-day suspension

Cagayan Vice Governor Manuel Mamba has accepted a 90-day preventive suspension following a ruling by the Batac City Regional Trial Court Branch 17. The suspension is related to a graft case involving alleged offenses committed in May 2022 while Mamba was serving as governor.

Mamba described the suspension as a ‘procedural requirement’ rather than a penalty and expressed confidence that justice will prevail. He stated he intends to use the period to attend to personal matters and health while trusting the acting vice governor to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of provincial services.
