Cagepa suspends water supply in João Pessoa and Cabedelo
The Companhia de Água e Esgotos da Paraíba (Cagepa) has announced a temporary suspension of water services for the municipality of Cabedelo and 29 neighborhoods in João Pessoa on Tuesday (11).
The interruption is necessary to perform maintenance and repair a leak identified in the raw water pipeline that supplies the Gramame Water Treatment Plant (ETA). This facility is critical for the water supply of the Greater João Pessoa metropolitan region.
In Cabedelo, the suspension is scheduled from 5:00 to 18:00. In João Pessoa, the service will be interrupted from 8:00 to 18:00. Cagepa has advised residents in the affected areas to use their stored water reserves conscientiously, noting that supply will be restored gradually following the completion of the repairs.
