Cagliari Calcio expresses condolences to Roberto Muzzi on father's death

Cagliari Calcio has expressed its condolences to former striker and current club official Roberto Muzzi following the death of his father, Franco. The club, led by President Tommaso Giulini, issued an official statement offering support to Muzzi and his family.

Franco Muzzi was a local car mechanic who initially encouraged his son to pursue a trade before eventually supporting Roberto’s professional football career. Roberto Muzzi, who joined Cagliari in 1994 after stints with Roma and Pisa, became a prominent figure for the Sardinian club, scoring 58 goals in 144 appearances. Following his retirement, Muzzi remained deeply integrated with the organization, serving in various roles including club manager and within the technical and youth sectors.
