Cagliari eyes Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor after World Cup goal
Italian Serie A club Cagliari have opened preliminary talks about a possible summer transfer for Sunderland forward Wilson Isidor. The interest was reported by journalist Nicolò Schira, who said Cagliari are monitoring the 2000‑born striker but have not yet made a formal offer. Isidor is under contract with Sunderland until June 2028 and will feature for the English side in the 2026‑27 UEFA Europa League.
Isidor, who plays for Haiti internationally, attracted renewed attention after scoring a decisive goal against Morocco at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, becoming only the second Haitian to ever score in a World Cup. His performances in England’s Premier League and on the world stage have prompted Cagliari to evaluate him as a potential addition to their attack.
