A controversy has emerged in Cagliari following a television report on local security by the program ‘Fuori dal coro’, hosted by Mario Giordano. The dispute centers on accusations of journalistic malpractice.

Massimiliano Piga, writing for the blog Cagliari Capitale, has accused the television crew of deliberately manipulating reality to incite fear. Piga alleges that the production team sought out vulnerable individuals to provoke reactions, which were then used to portray the city as being overrun by foreigners. These claims go beyond criticism of editorial tone, accusing the journalists of professional misconduct and the artificial construction of fear-inducing situations.
