Caguas serves as a cultural and culinary center in Puerto Rico

Caguas, known as ‘The Criollo City,’ serves as a central cultural and culinary hub in Puerto Rico. Located at the crossroads of major highways on the eastern side of the island, the city is positioned approximately 30 minutes from the airport and the San Juan Cruise Port.

The city is noted for its mixed heritage, rooted in Taíno, Spanish, and African cultures. As a gastronomic destination, Caguas features over 300 restaurants and 33 curated gastronomic routes across two main zones: Bairoa and the Traditional Urban Center.
