CAHN faces Lion City Sailors in ASEAN Club Championship opener

Công an Hà Nội (CAHN) is set to face Lion City Sailors in the opening match of Group B in the 2026/27 ASEAN Club Championship. The match takes place in Singapore, marking the start of a demanding period for CAHN as they compete across three different tournaments.

CAHN enters the match with strong momentum from the V. League 2026/27, where they have secured nine points from three matches with a perfect defensive record, having scored six goals and conceded none. However, the team faces potential fatigue issues, as several key players, including Đình Bắc and Lê Văn Đô, have recently returned from the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026. Additionally, defender Bùi Hoàng Việt Anh is not included in the squad for this away trip.

Lion City Sailors have had a difficult start to their domestic season in Singapore, currently sitting fifth in the league with only one point from two matches. The club has recently appointed English manager Mark Jackson to improve their performance. Their recent continental experience includes a 1-1 draw against BG Pathum United in the AFC Champions League 2.
