CAHN secures first AFC Champions League Elite victory against Shanghai Port

CAHN FC achieved its first victory in the 2026/27 AFC Champions League Elite, defeating Shanghai Port 3-2 in an away match at the Pudong Stadium. Despite starting the tournament with two losses, the Vietnamese side managed to overcome the Chinese hosts in a high-intensity encounter.

Bryan Perea was the standout performer, scoring two goals to secure the win. The match featured significant drama, including a penalty situation in the 74th minute where CAHN goalkeeper Nguyen Filip initially saved a shot, but the referee ordered a retake due to an early movement. A subsequent attempt by Mateus Vital hit the post.

Head coach Mano Polking described the result as a “historic victory,” noting that the team's ability to score three goals against a strong opponent on their home turf demonstrates significant progress. This win moves CAHN to 11th place in the Eastern Asia regional group stage.
