Italy infrastructure: widespread road maintenance and closures

Various regions across Italy are initiating road maintenance and infrastructure projects, leading to localized traffic changes and closures.

In Figline, paving repairs will begin on August 31, affecting several streets including via Piave and via Torino, with temporary speed limits and parking restrictions in place. In Caiazzo, the SP 39 road will close between the S.P. 336 intersection and Via Umberto I until November 30, 2026, for hydrogeological risk mitigation.

In Umbria, night works will be conducted on the E45 near the Collestrada curve to install drainage asphalt, aiming to minimize daytime traffic impact. Meanwhile, in Ravenna, the mobile bridge will undergo maintenance from September 1 to September 14, with specific transit permissions being arranged for heavy goods vehicles to reduce logistical delays. Additionally, maintenance on via degli Spreti and via Ravegnana is scheduled to begin on September 1 following gas network installations.

In Arezzo, residents have raised concerns regarding the quality of recent asphalt repairs in Piazza San Donato, citing irregular patching that affects sidewalks and road markings.
