Cainz and Tohan launch modular display furniture for bookstores
Cainz, in collaboration with publishing distributor Tohan, has launched a new series of modular, assembly-style display fixtures designed specifically for bookstores. The product line aims to address common challenges in bookstores, such as limited floor space and the need for flexible displays that can accommodate both books and non-book merchandise.
The collection includes three main items: the ‘Display Shelf with Changing Shelves’ (29,800 yen), the ‘Display Table with Changing Shapes’ (19,800 yen), and the ‘Desktop Display with Changing Shapes’ (7,980 yen). These items feature customizable heights and shapes, allowing retailers to create cohesive sales environments. The design incorporates input from architectural firm SNARK Inc. and was tested at Sumiyoshi Shobo Miyazaki-dai Ekimae store.
Products are available via the ‘CAINZ DIY MARKET’ platform on an made-to-order basis. While designed for commercial use, the furniture is also marketed for home use.
