Caio Castro Lima releases book on death and grief

Journalist and theology student Caio Castro Lima has released his second book, ‘A Morte é um Canto Gregoriano – É Preciso Entendê-la para não Temê-la’ (Death is a Gregorian Chant – It Must Be Understood to Not Be Feared), published by Juruá Editora.

Drawing on his experiences as an Extraordinary Minister of Consolation and Hope at the São João Batista Cemetery in Rio de Janeiro, Lima explores themes of mourning, forgiveness, aging, and the search for meaning through a Christian faith lens. The 102-page work aims to make the concept of death less frightening by discussing it openly, addressing contemporary issues such as palliative care, dignity in dying, and the challenges of an aging population.
