Flávia Saraiva wins double gold at Brazilian Gymnastics Championship
Flávia Saraiva, representing Flamengo, secured two gold medals in the beam and floor exercises at the Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Championship held in Brasília. In the beam final, she achieved a score of 13.866, while her floor routine earned 13.833. Her floor performance, featuring a mix of Brazilian musical influences, matched the score that secured the world title for Sugihara Aiko in the previous year, positioning her as a strong contender for the upcoming World Championships in the Netherlands.
The floor podium was dominated by Flamengo athletes, with Júlia Coutinho taking silver (13.266) and Hellen Silva taking bronze (13.200). In the beam event, Gabriela Barbosa of Pinheiros took silver (13.266) and Gabriela Vieira of Flamengo took bronze (13.100).
In the men's finals, Arthur Nory won gold on the high bar after a tie-break against Diogo Paes, both scoring 13.966. Caio Souza claimed gold on the parallel bars with a score of 13.966, and Yuri Guimarães secured gold in the vault with an average of 14.133, marking his second gold of the competition.
