CAIR identified as unindicted co-conspirator in terrorism-financing case

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has been identified as an unindicted co-conspirator by the U.S. Department of Justice in the United States v. Holy Land Foundation case, the largest terrorism-financing case in U.S. history. Evidence from the trial indicated that CAIR emerged from the Muslim Brotherhood’s U.S. Palestine Committee, described as a Hamas support network.

Reports allege that CAIR functions as a front organization to advance Islamist objectives aligned with Hamas ideology while utilizing U.S. legal protections. The FBI has reportedly severed outreach and cooperation with the organization due to unresolved evidence linking it to Hamas. Additionally, CAIR has been designated as a terrorist organization in Texas, Florida, and the UAE.
