Cairo Bank unifies security operations across Egypt branches

Cairo Bank has deployed the Genetec Security Center platform to unify security operations across its extensive branch network in Egypt. The initiative was driven by new regulatory requirements from the Central Bank of Egypt and aligns with the bank’s digital transformation goals under the Egypt Vision 2030 national strategy.

The platform consolidates video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection into a single system. This allows for centralized management of more than 6,000 cameras across 122 active branches, with a full rollout across the bank's 230+ branches nearing completion. The system supports a centralized Command and Control Room to improve operational intelligence and oversight.

To maintain strict data governance and privacy, the implementation separates operational responsibilities. IT and security teams can monitor device health and system status without accessing sensitive video feeds, ensuring compliance with privacy requirements while supporting the bank's efforts toward financial inclusion and long-term expansion.
