Cairo Chamber of Commerce launches summer clothing discounts up to 40% in Egypt

The Cairo Chamber of Commerce’s ready‑made clothing committee announced participation in the government‑mandated summer “occasions” sale starting 3 August 2026. Discounts will range from 10 % to more than 40 % on a wide array of garments. The initiative follows Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Dr. Sherif Farouk’s decree No. 142/2026, which authorises a month‑long seasonal clearance, limiting each participating store’s sale period to two weeks and requiring prior approval and clear price labeling to protect consumer rights.

Chamber president Ayman Al‑Ashri directed the committee, led by Khaled Faid, to coordinate with traders to ensure broad participation. The timing coincides with families preparing for the new school year, and the Chamber highlighted the social and economic benefits of the sale – boosting purchasing power, stimulating market activity, and maintaining price stability while complying with consumer‑protection regulations.
